PDPA policy
Introduction to the PDPA
“Personal Data” is defined under the PDPA to mean data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified from that data, or from that data and other information to which an organization has or is likely to have access.
Purposes for collection, use and disclosure of personal data
The personal data which we collect from you may be used and/or disclosed for the following purposes:
Specific issues for the disclosure of personal data to third parties
We respect the confidentiality of the personal data you have provided to us. We will not disclose any of your personal data to third parties without first obtaining your express consent, except in situations outlined in the PDPA, such as in response to legal obligations or emergencies that threaten life or safety. Third parties exclude persons who volunteer with TransSG, as we are a fully volunteer-run organization. All volunteers are briefed on the appropriate handling of your personal data.
Request for access, correction, and/or withdrawal of personal data
You may request to access and/or correct the personal data currently in our possession or withdraw your consent for the collection, use, and/or disclosure of your personal data in our possession at any time by submitting your request via email to contacttransgendersg@gmail.com.
Administration and management of personal data
We will take appropriate measures to keep your personal data accurate, complete, and updated. We will also take reasonable efforts to ensure that your personal data is adequately protected and secured.
Updates on data protection policy
We will review our policies, procedures, and processes from time to time and may amend the terms of this Data Protection Policy.
